Morning Prayer [pray with me]

 Precious Heavenly Father,

I pray that as we live we will see your glory returned in our nation. I pray that your hand would never be removed among us. I pray that your love will empower all those who are blind and cannot see the saving grace of your Son Jesus Christ. Give them new hearts Father. You are the God of all hope!  I pray that our nation will be named a sheep nation and not a goat nation. I pray that I will see the complete abolishment of all abortions and all those who are doing this have their funds completely dried up, hands cuffed and tied and all their works once and for all, be rendered obsolete. We petition, let the vile word abortion never to be named in our nation again. I pray that the union between a man and a woman only, will be once again be blessed by the sanction of marriage. I pray ALL sexual trafficking towards your children and your adults will be caught and the perpetrators be dealt with according to your will and never again be a tool for wickedness in our nation. I ask that all illegal drugs in this nation be erupted, caught red-handed and man-handled to destroyed every scheme, every plan and every wicked idea be done away with! I pray for justice. I pray these people would never have the opportunity to bring down this nation again. I pray about those who are destroying this nation, those who are burning buildings, cars, buses, trucks, businesses and destroying people’s homes and murdering those around them, snuffing out young lives, I declare boldly in Jesus name for justice. While they scream and shout for revolution through their wicked ways, we boldly declare our Father has shown us the Battle belongs to Him and it is He who has heard our prayers. Our nation was funded upon your principles and we no longer will allow the enemy to take any of your blessings you have given to us for granted! We now repent of our laodicean ways, we humble ourselves and will walk by faith, not by sight. By faith, not by fear. By faith and obedience in your love.

Return the land you have given to us to those who love you.

I pray that all those in high places, [Congress] not only resisting your ways, but promoting ungodly wickedness be removed and discarded once and for all and replaced with your godly selections that you have ordained since before the foundation of the world.

I pray all policeman will be returned to their jobs and be allowed to follow through to protect their citizens.  I pray all sanctuary cities be completely  removed and replaced by godliness, your will and ways.

We ask all ungodly teachers that teach in all schools, right is wrong, and wrong is right be removed and replaced by your godly people. We ask that our history books be written in truth and all lies be done away with. We ask that shame and modesty return to our nation. Give us tender and sensitive consciences once again, always willing to stay on the narrow road. We come against all political correctness and will speak the correct word of God to their faces, that be like flint; in the name of Jesus! We will walk in boldness, we will stand up to the enemy and not back down! We will have each others back and they will know you are our God and we are your people! We will arise in this truth and never back down! We pray that all journalist who have chosen to walk with the father of lies, the accuser towards all of us be shamefully brought down, never to rise again! We ask that the whole nation would see your hand Father. Even the world. And we ask these evil people would be replaced by your godly people who would speak righteously, through grace and seasoned by your salt. Your will, not theirs. Allow us to once again to be that city upon a hill that can never be hid.  I pray a new fire would rise up in those who love you. I pray these would stand upon your word through all the testings and trials. I ask these people would be filled with the awesomeness of knowing they are your children and how you loved us first before we ever knew you. I pray they would be filled up with joy, experiencing the realization of how great you are! I pray that you would send intercessors that will pray your word for each other, for our nation. I pray you would send laborers to work the harvest and bring in these last day crops. I pray you would hear our prayers and give us the determination, love and faith to ride this tide in this time and cause our words to be magnified and multiplied billions upon billions of times as we speak and write of your love. We pray this would glorify you in every way and be pleasing in your sight. We love you Father with all of our heart, our mind, our soul and our strength and we love our neighbors as we do ourselves. We choose to esteem others above ourselves. Help us Father to follow through on these commands of love. Make us sensitive in hearing your ideas to be creative in loving. Give us the empathy and compassion to be pleasing in your sight. We ask that you would help us to retain what you teach us and the ability to bring it up within us when we need it. Remind us not to be swayed by the teachings of the world but to screen everything by your word. Sift our hearts and be rid of whatever does not bear good fruit. Our desire is to be completely ready for your Son’s return.

Father, we are completely yours! Inside and outside! Going here, going there, we know your Spirit rides with us. We are truly joyful slaves to your will in our lives in every way.

Thank you Father for hearing our prayers. Thank you “Abba Abba Father.”

And we pray all this in your precious son Jesus Christ, our redeemer amen.

Judge Not #2

 Judge Not #2

Back “in the day” when I was a young divorced single parent and a baby believer, I wanted to be around other Jesus lovers who was as zealous as I was and take the earth for Christ! Where were all the radicals like me, that could set the neighborhood on fire? I went to church and one of the first things I heard a deacon say about me, “She’ll lose her fire and calm down before too long.” My thoughts? Right then, I was determined to keep my fire and keep watering the word inside my heart. The man who spoke those words over me did not realize how painful they were. Was I wrong to be excited about the love I’d found in Christ? I think not.

Our careless words can crush innocent hearts.

Our words will either encourage, give hope and love, building up faith or they will be used to mulch a destiny of division, destruction and discouragement.

The answer is not to use a whip with God’s word, but to scatter His kindness that leads men to repentance.

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”  Pr. 18:21 kj

Science has captured on film when we speak harsh words to our plants, their leaves begin to slowly curl up. Indifference can also be a killer. But, when we tell them how well they are doing, they will flourish. This is the way with our spouse, our children and pets too, when we speak kind words they thrive. Ex. When we praise our mates for a job well done, they try to do even better. And, so it is with the body of believers.

One of the surprising virtues I have noticed about some TV ministers who are successful is that, you will never hear them put down other ministers. These men and women are too busy walking and talking the word with their work in Christ to give thought about those who “aren’t right.” Are they all right and perfect? Of course not, but neither are we. Though, many are relentlessly attacked by the world and other christians, they never retaliate. They understand the power of the tongue.

Why are sheep so quick to believe the worse and repeat something negative they have read or heard about another brother or sister?

Why do we take our words for granted, assuming others understand? We can season them with salt and extend the grace we ourselves have received or we can angrily run roughshod over those we declare we love. For example, one of the worse things in a marriage can be when a partner speaks through contempt. Contempt is spoken because the marriage has been bruised or broken and there is a total disregard over another’s feelings, because in their eyes you are now worthless. The lack of love in our words can open up doors we do not want to walk through, whether it is in a marriage, at work or aimed at someone you do not even know. Either way, it is our own hearts that need to be examined, not those whom we cast stones.

Lastly, remember in the book of Acts in chapters 7-9 when Stephen had his vision and was stoned, Saul stood by giving his approval. Persecution broke out violently to destroy the believers of Christ. Saul was still breathing murderous threats against the disciples of Christ and while he was on the way to Damascus a bright light [some believe this to be lightning] from heaven flashed around him and he fell to the ground and he heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul why do you persecute ME ?”

Saul looked up, but was blinded and asked who are you?

I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.” he replied.

Saul was persecuting the believers, how could he persecute Jesus Christ? Because Jesus Christ is the head of the Christian Church. He holds us up, he is the Cornerstone. All those who believe belong to Him! We have His Holy Spirit inside of us. We are His Bride. He is the Son of God.

My point is, while Saul was going house to house, gathering up the believers, imprisoning and killing them, because of their belief in Jesus Christ the Messiah, he was not only persecuting believers but Jesus Christ. His words of anger were directed to the flock through angry threats and killings like what happened to Stephen. Jesus said to Saul, “Why do you persecute ME?”

When we speak harm against another believer, we are speaking against Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Let’s pray.

Prayer:

Precious Father,

Thank you for revealing to me the seriousness of our words towards those whom you love. I ask you would forgive me for all the unthinking and careless words I have spoken. I ask your Holy Spirit would guard my heart, my mind, my soul and my mouth to bring seeds of love, kindness and encouragement that would give you glory and lift up and strengthen those that would hear.

In Jesus I ask. Amen

Judge Not #1

One of the quickest ways to discredit our integrity is to, simply open our mouths! The world judges us by what we look like, what we do and most important by what we say. Not one of us deserves to be placed upon a pedestal, as moving closer, they will begin to see the frailty in our hearts that our words have sown. For them to still love us, can only be in Christ.  Misunderstanding is an understatement. Opening our mouths is such an easy thing to do and unless our words are laced with God’s love, we grieve The Holy Spirit and find they fall upon dry ground.

Harmful words make us weak, not strong. They destroy the very cause you aimed to achieve.

I would personally love to be able to say that I have never spoken an ill word in anger or in retaliation. But that would be a lie. It would nice if I could say, I have never hurt a person with my words, judged or murmured against another, their ministry or denominational beliefs, but I cannot say that either. I am guilty. But, the difference with being guilty and being set free in Christ; is making a decision to repent.  But, “they are wrong” you say.” I ask you, “Have you ever been wrong? and “Do you know the hearts you have judged?” Is not judgement up to God and not us? If they are in error, they will entrap themselves and God will be faithful to correct them. Like He does us! That is one of God’s brilliant principles of sowing and reaping.

I prayed that God would open up my eyes and show me what I needed to see because in order to “let go and move past” the cause of dissension, I needed some understanding.

Then I received these words, “God uses the very offenses we given and received by others to activate the truth we’ve stored up inside of us; for us to pause and see the self-righteousness, we ourselves are still carrying around.”  Pride responds through contention.

In other words, when we are offended by something a brother or sister says, and we begin to talk against them, we place ourselves to be judge and jury by our prideful attitude. it is time to examine our own hearts and not others.

Offenses will come, not because they were wrong, but so we can clean up our own house. Whether you believe the offense was right or wrong is between him and God. Have you prayed for those you spoke against? Have you approached them in love?  The need to publicly crush another’s character is not from the Holy Spirit. We see this in the world all the time, but it should not happen within the Body of Christ. We see the disunity of the spirit of division when churches split because of disagreements and there remains a silent form of un-forgiveness. Then, another group is formed, in Christ’s name of course. Evangelism? Why would the world reach out to the church when they do not see love? Jesus had something to say about our self-righteousness:

For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.” Mt. 5:22

"I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Jeremiah 17:10 nkjv

Small prayer:

Heavenly Father,  Help our thinking patterns to be conformed into the mind of your Son. Give us the wisdom we need to choose our words before we speak. Forgive us for not using what you have given to us and we ask that you would enable us to grow the fruit we need to be fruitful and full of your grace when we speak.  In Jesus we ask. Amen
