Struggling with your thoughts

Here I go again.
We all have a past. Every single one of us has a story nestled inside of us. Should we decide to put our life journey into print, our shelves would be overstocked with volumes of bygone years.
History records our lives upon our hearts and there are times when we choose to replay the yesterdays and when we decide to open up a room full of scars, we are given a special gift of stress that affects our hearts and wounds our souls. Is this why women have risen in heart attacks today?
As I was thinking about all this, I pictured myself opening an old familiar door in the seeds of my mind. Then, I stopped dead in my tracks and backed up and looked up at the door post. I saw blood upon it. The replay was broken, I couldn’t walk ahead and the seducing spirit passed me by. I deliberately chose to look up and when I did, the light gave sight of a much larger wound than myself whose blood covered my heart, my mind and all my yesterdays. When I looked up, God’s son healed my thought life and His light connected with my spirit, powerfully, securely and permanently.
Today, I see that door before me and it has a deadbolt lock across the front entrance. I have chosen life instead of torment and death and victory over defeat. In Christ I live by faith.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
We strive to give you glory in our lives. We breathe to reflect honor to you Lord. Oh Father we give you all of our thoughts, our intents, our tongue and any works we do, we do upon your behalf, not ours. Thank you for your never-ending mercies, your unfailing love and forgiveness in our lives. We thank you for giving our hearts insight, answers and solutions for our lives. We put all our trust in you Lord. In Jesus amen.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23

Prayer Morsel for your Mind (thoughts)

Heavenly Father,

I thank you for continually renewing my mind in the very spirit of my mind. I know that I have a fresh, untarnished, mental and spiritual attitude. I will walk daily by putting on my new self, even that regenerated and new nature that is created in God's Holy Image, yes; in the righteousness and holiness of your truth. I choose to live in a way that expresses to my Father God my gratitude for my salvation.

In your son I pray and declare those words. Amen

Adapted from Ep. 4:23-24

Prayer Morsel

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [but seek to please Him], by whom you were sealed and marked [branded as God’s own] for the day of redemption [the final deliverance from the consequences of sin]” Ep. 4:30 Amp.

Heavenly Father,

We make a choice today not to grieve your Holy Spirit and we rejoice how Your Spirit has literally sealed, marked and branded us to be your own people. We will meditate on this awesomeness! You actually branded us! You gave us a your mark! A Holy Mark! Thank you for delivering us from the consequences of our sins . We confess by faith that your son is our Savior, our redeemer and Lord. We will rejoice in your love today! Thank you Lord. Amen.

God's wisdom is knowing His character and giving Him Glory in everything you do

Many years ago I was listening to a well known teacher who was trying to get across the importance of seeking after wisdom. He spoke loudly and with authority saying: “You must seek after wisdom! Seek after wisdom like it is a matter of life or death! You must be like a man (or woman) that is drowning in deep waters and fighting for your life to come up for air!”  I have never forgotten his message and have made seeking after God’s wisdom and understanding a priority in my life.

When the Bible says: “ And unto man he said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.” Job 28:28

“I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.” Job 32:7

We not only learn and receive wisdom and understanding by studying God’s word, but by asking God for it and walking through our experiences in our lives.

Achieving wisdom should be a lifetime goal.  In Proverbs 9:10-11 in the Amplified Version it says:

“The [reverent] fear of the Lord [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of wisdom [its starting point and its essence], And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding and spiritual insight. For by me (wisdom from God) your days will be multiplied, and years of life shall be increased.”

As a part of the Body of Christ, Our Heavenly Father has set boundaries in our lives to live by (by reading and studying the Bible) and throughout our walk we learn that if we cross over those boundaries, there will always be the consequences of our actions that we will have to walk through. If we learn His principles early enough we will be able to teach and guide our children to walk that narrow path. More simply put, we should learn by our mistakes, so we won’t have to repeat the same ones again. That is part of learning through the experiences of God’s wisdom and understanding.

When we pray for wisdom, many times we will be ushered into a trying difficult situation in our lives to be shown what needs to be dealt with inside of our hearts. Being honest with yourself will bring the much needed understanding and a new sensitivity of The Holy Spirit working in your life.

There is an Epidemic of Hatred around the world. While some say "People have gone crazy, they do not seem to care anymore what they say or do."

Linked to social media,  I've never read such vile gossip toward politicians and toward celebrities. There are words that leach a murderous loathing and a contempt that is not only aimed towards their opponents, but towards all liberals AND other conservatives! If anyone happens to speak up and disagrees in the way they’ve unleashed their venom, they pounce scornfully upon that one to leave the group! Because, “criticism” is what that group is all about!
Seriously, who really wants to stay in an atmosphere of hatred? I for one seek peace!
Like everyone of us, our behavior reflects what we have stored up in our hearts and when hatred causes damage by our words, we are not only hurting that person but the possibility of losing their trust. We no longer want to be around them. Tables become turned, as you become the target, because of the demolition demonstrated by your “online tongue.” If those who profess goodness and right living in God cannot look, act or speak differently than those who stand for everything evil; what good are you? What good are you actually doing if you have officially joined “Club Hatred?” If you say you are for our President and love him, why are you representing him through the daggers in your mouth by attacking others who also love him? Stop taking your hatred out on another person. Hating evil is one thing, but hate the problem, not the person. There are ways to overcome evil with good.
I too get disgusted and upset over the corruption in our nation, lies, criminals set free, treasonous behaviors, unfair treatments, child molestation rings, all abortions, the continued greedy hold for power and on it goes! Sometimes it seems like nothing is happening fast enough for us.
Have you noticed, there is an unraveling going on in our nation. Take a look at a long white colored string that gets all those tight tangled knots in it and think about how long it takes to undo the tight knots! Even fishing line is a good example! That is our nation! Sometimes, that string gets cut, doesn’t it?
Cannot we try to give the other person the benefit of the doubt? This is where they are at, give them some slack. Everyone thinks differently. What a dull world it would be if we all thought the same way. We wouldn’t have anymore testings or trials would we? There is a person with a heart just like you who goes through trials just like you do behind those words they type.
Not one of us are innocent. Not one of us have arrived. Not one of us should be cutting another person down because you don’t like the way their eyes look or you “had a feeling” about him for a long time or because of something you heard or read about him. Stop the online gossip and whisperings.
Not one of us do not have a problem with our “online tongue.” If we really want God to do a work in our nation, then those who profess to be Christians, need to repent and allow the Holy Spirit to do the work in your life He is called to do. Pray and search your own hearts.
“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”
Romans 3:22-24

Small Prayer of Praise

“Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” Ps. 9:10

I know your name Lord, for there are many. Your eyes rove to and fro upon your earth to see the motives of our hearts as You look for obedience. You answer our prayers before we even ask. You go to battle for us and are our great defender. You are love, as you wait and look for those to return to your truth. Thank you for your Holy Spirit who guides us, teaches us and whispers your will to our hearts. Thank you for calling us friends. Thank you for always giving us the hope we need that waters our faith to see through your eyes and not ones of flesh. Thank for teaching us there is no substitute for your strength, your power or Spirit. We give you glory this morning. We give you praise.

In Jesus we pray   Amen
