Do you have "Hoof and Mouth disease?"

Good Morning,

“From the fruit of his mouth a [wise] man enjoys good, but the desire of the treacherous is for violence. The one who guards his mouth [thinking before he speaks] protects his life; The one who opens his lips wide [and chatters without thinking] comes to ruin.” Proverbs 13:2,3 amp.

Raise your hand if there are times you talk too much. My mother would say, “Think about what you just said, think before you speak.” I experimented using big words without looking up their meanings. That can get you into speedy trouble. Without fail she would point me to the dictionary.  I have always loved words and when she told me to “think first” I began the life long process to first think before I opened my mouth.

Let's face it, most of our problems come from our tongue.

We will have to give an account for every idle word we speak. The Bible continues to say; when words are many, sin is unavoidable and life and death is in the power of the tongue. By our words we will be justified and by our words we will be condemned. Everything we say is being recorded. Mt. 12:36, 37  Pr. 10:19, Pr. 18:18:21

If we are not careful, our tongue can get us into trouble all of the time. Wars, divorces, misunderstandings, un-forgiveness and divided nations have all been started over the tongue. The words go out, but the fruit remains and begins to grow.  We cannot take the words back, but we can repent if we uttered something against the will of our Father. My heart loves talking about the things of God. But, how many people know too much honey can make anyone sick. No one likes to be forced fed something that is disagreeable to their digestive system. Seeds are small, but the fruit can be good, if we begin to use wisdom. Our nation is bloated with God’s word going out into the airwaves. Many have become desensitized by overkill. To be a candle, we are to do the will of God and not always speak.

We pray:

 Heavenly Father,

We give you all adoration, our hearts, our souls, our minds, our total being and ask the Holy Spirit to take out any reflective stains in our hearts that we seem to be hanging onto and our minds that would later turn into rash speaking, any quick anger, fretting, grumbling, mumbling, unwarranted reasoning, any worldly wisdom, backlashing, wishful thinking, religiosity/legalism, judging, false humility, any gossip and prideful thoughts. We refuse to nurse any of those things and repent of any careless thoughts and words. We put them all down and replace all these thoughts with humility, things that are true, honorable, respectful, worthy, things that are right and are confirmed by your word, things that are pure, wholesome, lovely, things that bring peace that guards our hearts, things that are admirable and of good repute, things of excellence and things worthy of your praise. We ask that an angel would guard our tongues and remind us to “think before we speak.” We thank you for your word and request the sensitive leading of your Holy Spirit before we speak. We ask this in your son’s name Jesus. Amen.

Prayer of declaration, confession and power.

Good Morning Precious Father,

We confess gratitude: Thank you O Holy Spirit for always being with us, even in our times of disagreements, depressions and fatigue. We can see how every trial we go through makes us stronger to give you glory. Thank you for never giving up on conforming us into the likeness of your Son Jesus.  Thank you for your love and great mercies every single morning. Thank you for being a God of understanding whose eyes look deep into our hearts. You look so deep, you see the motives of our hearts. Thank you for teaching us through experience “The fear of the Lord.” Thank you for your wisdom who gives us solutions when we know it all came from you! Thank you for your patience who knows what we will do and say before we even give utterance. Thank you for never giving up on us. Thank you for opening up our hearts to be teachable, to listen, to understand what your word is saying to us. Draw us closer to you O Holy Spirit. Breathe upon us every morning and night. Help us to be more aware of your voice and hear clearer when you speak.  We ask that you don’t give up on us, continue to renew our spirits daily. Allow us to be sensitive to what is happening in today, but not be dragged down in anger, doubt or discouragement in what we hear in the secular media. Remind us to pray for these people who have turned away from your love. Gird our souls and spirits up to fight the forces of darkness in the way we have been taught. We choose to overcome evil with good. We choose to use the faith that you have given to us and be doers of your word and not hearers only. We choose to honor you every morning. We choose to see your light, your way with your love instead of giving room to any form of darkness. We cast it all down and choose to know that the battle belongs to you because you said, “Vengence is yours and that you will repay. We trust that you will deal with your enemies who mock those that love you. We stand boldly upon your word and can rejoice with gladness that Your Son is Lord in our lives. Truly He is our King of Kings. We look earnestly for His glorious return. Prepare our hearts Holy Spirit as we look for your return.  We are a Child of God and have learned we are not subject to your wrath, but goodness. We know you protect your children. We thank you for every single correction, awaking and shaking in our life, we thank you for making us sit and know: You are God. and that you will have mercy on whom you will have mercy.  We choose this day to look through the lens of Jesus and turn our anger into love. We put down any pride and put on humility.  Help us to remember to look past the blind ignorance of those who believe their lies; who cannot see the truth and ask that your breath would have mercy and blow upon their spirits into repentance. We ask that the spirit of error be replace with your Spirit of Truth in their lives.

We confess to have faith as a mustard seed and we can do all things in Christ who strengthens us.
We confess that we refuse not to believe any spirit when they say they are from you, but only those who confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh and is from God. We are your children and we belong to you and according to your word in 1 John 4:4 we have already overcome the agents of antichrist because He who is in us is greater than those who are in the world.

Right now, we refuse and shun all twisted doctrines of demons, viewpoints of the world, immoral and baseless theories, those that demand compliance with degrading perverted opinions, those who mock other believers and we speak to those enmities that try to control the airwaves;  “we stand upon the rock that Jesus gave to us, and nullify all their schemes, strategies, mocking’s, lies, controlling plans and thoughts against your people in Jesus name!”

We choose God’s word! We declare His sword is truth! Teach us O Holy Spirit to love unselfishly because we know you are the originator of Love. Thank you for giving your Son for us and setting us free. Thank you for giving us your Holy Spirit. Thank you for your atonement.

We choose to be your vessels of love to keep plowing up your land. We choose to be diligent and honor you in Praise, in Word, in our thoughts and in the hours you give to us. We choose to be that tree that is planted by the water. Thank you for giving us the Water of Life. Thank you Father for planting us where we are supposed to be.

We choose to replace any stray thoughts of “if only” when we know you are the one who directs our steps and they are ordered by you. We choose to replace any discontent inside of us and turn and look at what we have, in complete thankfulness and gratitude. Forgive us our whining, our fretting, any doubt or disbelief and we ask that you would station a clamp upon our mouths when we do not think before we speak.  Thank you Father.

We confess and pray in your Son’s name Jesus Christ, amen.

Be thankful we haven't reaped everything we sowed.

Good Morning,

He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve], Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.” Psalm 103:10 amp.

Think “how far the Lord has brought you.” I can gladly say, I am not the same person I was 30-40 years ago or even yesterday. The Holy Spirit keeps us moving in our walk.  The above verse is so true. God does not give us everything we deserve.  The selfishness of sin not only destroys ourselves but can scar those we love. The closer we humbly come to our Father the brighter the light. We can see clearer! We understand! We embrace the love He offers, never to be let go! Our journey is one of thankfulness today. Our Father is long on patience and sees our whole life from the beginning to the end. He sees promises, purposes and plans inside of us that we once could not see. With every single wrong we once did, He knew we would multiply the goodness of His seeds upon other hearts. He looked upon your heart and said, “He is mine! Enough! His love is all consuming and Irresistible!

Prayer:

Precious Heavenly Father,

You remind us how you rescued us from a miry pit and how you haven’t given to us everything we deserve. We are so thankful for your never ending love and compassion. Forgive us for being prideful and high-minded at times. If it were not for your mercy where would we be. Thank you for teaching us how far above your ways are to the worlds ways. Thank you Holy Spirit for giving us the love of the Father. We have learned how reachable is your love! We give you praise this morning for continually teaching our hearts to put off any scraps of worldliness, any leftover habits, the things we are not even aware of in our lives that need to be discarded. Reveal your precious words to us as you replace old ways we put behind us and find solutions to put on the things of our Father. We thank you Father in Jesus name..amen.

Lack of accountability always brings God's judgement

Good Morning,

Man’s corruption is bred for the lack of accountability. This opened door ushers in God’s judgement. Watching the news today is a boiling pot of violent injustice! Our blood pressures rise when we see troublemakers prevent good people from free speech and the cops simply watch. Jesus warned us about these days. Years ago I asked the Lord to expose all of the corruption in our government. Study and reason revealed there would be foreign boots trampling upon our land [with bloodshed] and when I asked the Lord, “But who?” The word “muslims” came to my heart. Fear has a paralyzing grip on good people who desire to help those who dare to walk on the frontlines and overcome evil with God’s goodness. Whom do you fear? God or man? If you fear man, you’ve become snared.

America has lacked accountability ever since Dr. Spock came out in the fifties with his book of lies. Parents were told that spanking a child would break their spirit. Not only did the secular minds etch this travesty in stone and wrap his teachings around their universities, but so did the majority of churches. They threw out the wisdom of Proverbs and replaced it with secular thinking patterns. Ps. 1:1 tells us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly.  Most readers already know we are going to have to give an account for everything we do, our idle words and those secret things in our heart that only The Holy Spirit knows about. If this scares you, it should.

For the lack of love many a teen has landed in prison [or worse] and are forced to face the truth about themselves. The only perfect rehabilitation is in Jesus. We cannot begin to love, nor understand love unless we have The Spirit of Love inside of us and it is He who guides us into all truth. You must be born again. rd. Jn 3:3

For it is written and forever remains written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise [the philosophy of the philosophers], And the cleverness of the clever [who do not know me] I will nullify.” Is.29:14 1Co.1:19 amp.

Why would we embrace the decaying utterance of worldly wisdom, whose spirits are dead, close to our hearts?  It is only by God's wisdom that sets a man free. Where are we putting our faith?

If you are one who has depended more upon the worlds wisdom than God’s wisdom, it is time get right and return to what God says about living. The Bible gives us an answer for every problem and situation we go through.

“But if we evaluated and judged ourselves honestly [recognizing our shortcomings and correcting our behavior], we would not be judged. But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined [by undergoing His correction] so that we will not be condemned [to eternal punishment] along with the world.” 1Co.11:31,32 amp.

Hold yourselves and your children accountable to what God is saying in your heart. Be honest. Time is fleeting, none of us know what the next minute will bring in our lives. While we still have breath in our lungs; examine your motives.  Please pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for teaching us this promise. Thank you for your Holy Spirit who deeply examines every part of our hearts. We thank you for your mercies and how they are new every single morning. We take nothing for granted and realize how we’ve been grafted into your vine. We praise your name, that we can say: “Abba Father.” You’ve taught us how a good loving father will discipline his children. You’ve taught us not to be entangled with the the world. We hear your words. Thank you for teaching us how to abide in your son. Help us to remember all that you give to us. Forgive us for falling short through doubt and unbelief. Forgive us for not discipling or correcting ourselves and our children. Your word tells us that those who do not correct their children do not love them. Forgive us. Fill us up with your love. Put a bold fire under us  to walk diligently in your love and in your ways. We choose your faith and love over any manifestation of fear.  We confess knowing the wisdom of sowing and reaping in our lives in all areas. Clean up our hearts and get all those worldly gnats and stains out and it is in Jesus name we ask this. Holy Spirit, refill and overflow in us with your perseverance, goodness and joy. Strongly, create in us to be examples of fruitful trees. Guard our tongues and hearts with your peace. We ask that your wisdom and knowledge continue to hold us accountable in our lives so that we will have a clear, clean conscience when we face our Father God. We trust in you completely Father. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Next time you lie, think about these words

To lie is a sin and destroys everyone involved ~ including yourself. What comes out of your mouth will be returned to you in multiple ways from others. We always reap what we sow.

To lie is to break another's trust in you.
To lie is to lose your respect from the one whom you lied and those who learn about it.
To lie is to sin against God.
To lie brings a reservation for you to have your part in the lake of fire.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22. When we tell a lie, we speak the devil’s language.  The Lord Jesus said that Satan, “does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44). Although a believer should always tell the truth, who of us can say that we have never been guilt of lying? The next time we are tempted to be dishonest, let’s ask ourselves, “Do I want to act like my heavenly Father or like the father of lies?”  The answer will encourage us to tell the truth.  When we tell a lie, we speak the devil’s language.
