Next time you lie, think about these words

To lie is a sin and destroys everyone involved ~ including yourself. What comes out of your mouth will be returned to you in multiple ways from others. We always reap what we sow.

To lie is to break another's trust in you.
To lie is to lose your respect from the one whom you lied and those who learn about it.
To lie is to sin against God.
To lie brings a reservation for you to have your part in the lake of fire.

“Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight.” Proverbs 12:22. When we tell a lie, we speak the devil’s language.  The Lord Jesus said that Satan, “does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (John 8:44). Although a believer should always tell the truth, who of us can say that we have never been guilt of lying? The next time we are tempted to be dishonest, let’s ask ourselves, “Do I want to act like my heavenly Father or like the father of lies?”  The answer will encourage us to tell the truth.  When we tell a lie, we speak the devil’s language.
