Old Timey Love

My  Theme for the Day is:

Have a little foresight

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Is.5:20

Our nation is falsely being held together by a band-aid. Many are fearful and worried because they realize the bubble will burst and the comfort we know today may not be what is in our future. I am not a mathematician in anyway, but I can read the hand writing on the wall. If a nation is trillions in debt and are unable to repay it, there will be a day of reckoning. Why? It isn’t just our financial house that is out of order.
Whether it is Hollywood or the media’s fruitless pursuit, to brainwash its listeners, and accept the kingpin’s ruler of darkness’s latest ploys to lie; can be mind staggering.
What we call wrong and perverse, they call normal. What we call discipline, they call abuse. While Christians give praise to a Holy God, R rated films take His name in vain! There is no longer any gray in the manner!  Psychologists tell parents not to discipline your children but let them express themselves. When the child becomes rebellious “and expressing themselves” the parents become bewildered and sometimes end up murdering their offspring, or the children murder their parents! Children need to know that you care enough to say no and sit on top of them with your decision! So what if you are hated for awhile! That will pass! Get tough! The child will know you cared enough to enforce the boundaries in his life when he needed them.  If not, the child will seek and seek to see if there is someone out there that cares enough to stop them from destroying themselves. Unfortunately many times it isn’t until they have run amuck with the police that their rebellious nature begins to a slow halt. Please allow your child to reap the consequences of their behavior so they can learn from it! If not, you both will have to drive around that mountain again until the lesson is learned.

Do not allow yourself to believe a lie

My Theme for the Day is:

Do not fear

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” 1Jn. 4:18

We turn on the television and what do we hear?  First we hear about what will happen if you do not take the drugs advertized, then we hear the effects of what could happen if we do. If it wasn’t so funny, I’d get angry. We do not have marbles for a brain.
Are you living in love or fear? Just about everything they are selling out there is based on sugar coated fear camouflaged as a lie. If you do not know if you are living in love or fear, remember; God always gives power, love and a sound mind. A spirit of fear works inside of an individual by whispering lies: “you’ll never find your love, you aren’t qualified for that job, you will never lose weight.” Fear, fear, fear!  Stop believing those lies!  Once you begin to believe the accuser your torment begins. Believing the lies involves torture and pain! When you believe in lies, you are literally robbed of God’s love, power and sound mind (peace).  A spirit of fear paralyzes, blocks and places you behind an invisible prison. That spirit will brainwash you into thinking there is no hope. Such deceit!  Fear and lies or Love and faith it is your choice.
God’s love is so much greater than the accuser! Take that one step now toward Jesus Christ in prayer and He will set you free.

Everyone has messed up, this is why we need GRACE

My Theme for the Day is:

Grace

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ep. 2:8-9
Imagine finding a long piece of string that you were looking for, only to discover the culprit in an accumulation of tight snarly knots. That old knotty tight string was once my life. I couldn’t untangle such a mess and if I were to start cutting such clutter; I’d destroy most of the string.  There was not a smooth edge on any part of that string. A former Pastor friend of mine said:  “Failure is one of the greatest qualifications! “ How can that be? Because my heart was open for the truth when I searched for God’s love. All my life I had been searching for His love.  I learned things in His strength, not mine. I had no strength at the time. Oh but for God’s incredible grace!  I did not deserve it, yet I was offered this free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Today The Holy Spirit is still talking to people and offering his path to freedom and eternal life. One step towards God and He will take you the rest of the way.

You can be Healed if you BELIEVE you can be

My Theme for the Day is:

Jehovah Rapha  (our healer)

“Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. “ Is. 53:4-5
We could say: Jesus took our heartaches and mourning, our disobedience and wickedness. He was even penalized for us to have peace! AND, by His stripes we are healed!  We can go to Him knowing He went before us and paid the complete price.
Prophecy! The book of Isaiah was written 700 years before Jesus walked upon the earth and it all came to pass.  Jesus suffered 39 stripes with a cat-o-nine-tails so we could be healed.  That is 39 X 9 = 351 lashes.  I understand He was completely unrecognizable and one large massive wound.
I am a very non-violent person. It is my nature not to see harm done to anyone.  The Bible says the life of the flesh is in the blood.  His blood ran that day, so we would have life in so many ways.  So we can have a sound mind, so our own wounds would clot, close and heal. So that our eyes would be open to this new  eternal life.  God will use who He needs to use to bring about your wholeness.  Do not put God in a box or limit Him. There are reasons He uses the herbs in the fields, Doctors and their medicine.  In every case He wants you to believe that He is, the Great Creator;  and Jehovah Rapha the Healer.  Put your trust in Jehovah Rapha today and ask Him to heal your heart.

There is Joy right here on earth!

My Theme for the Day is:

Joy

“I have told you these things that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy, and gladness may be full measure and complete and overflowing.”  Jn. 15:11 amp.

In the Kingdom of God there is a fullness of joy. Although you go through trials and troubles like everyone else here on earth, your heart is rejoicing because you are aware of The Holy Spirit guiding you all the way through. He will never abandon you.
The world talks about being in your happy place. While I love that fun expression there is a difference between the words happy and joy. Those of the world experience happiness through the “good luck” of things or the good fortune of thoroughly enjoying the moment. This can range from anywhere to driving a new car, getting a raise, being with your family or finding your soul mate. We feel happy. We feel all is right; all warm and fuzzy.
Joy is indescribable bliss and strength that resides within the Kingdom of God that comes from the Holy Ghost. The Kingdom of God is within a believer of Jesus Christ. The word indescribable is exactly that, it is practically impossible to describe a joyful heart,  as it is a gift and fruit of the Holy Spirit. Not the term spirit that is so popular today, but the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Our Eyes Communicate

My Theme for the Day is:
Medicine

“The light in the eyes  [of him whose heart is joyful] rejoices the heart of others, and good news nourishes the bones.” Pr. 15:30 amp.

Yesterday my husband and I were sitting on the old swing we had bought down from our mountain farm, in my garden. What a beautiful sight I thought to myself, look at all those flowers!  I looked down at my faithful garden cat Marco of 19 years. His face wasn’t as full or round anymore, his big green eyes are a little dim and he can no longer hear. I have sometimes thought if some people had a small portion of his love, we would have no divorces or war. I reached down and picked up his frail body and started to massage his head.  Then, all of a sudden we heard a loud crack and the old swing came crashing down with all three of us toppling over one another. My husband delightfully started to laugh exclaiming how exciting life has been married to me. I wasn’t feeling as enthusiastic as my derriere was quite sore. And no, I wasn’t going to ice it either!
My mother once said if you can find the humor in the situation you are going through, you will make it. The thought of laughter strengthening your bones brings a whole new meaning to medicine, doesn’t it?

Thoughts have substance

My Theme for the Day is:

Thoughts

“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” Mt. 12:25

The religious Pharisees harbored seeds of jealous thoughts toward Jesus when he healed a demon-possessed man. Jesus knew what was in their hearts. Their thoughts produced a harvest of perverted accusations that would eventually lead to the crucifixion of Christ.

Thoughts have substance. Every decision you have made began with a thought. In making that latest decision were you completely aware of the new situations and circumstances that went along with your decision? We begin with a “happy chappy” and then a “oh no!”  We found out, in order to drink the water, we have to first dig the well, but be careful not to fall into the hole! Begin to look at the other side of the coin. With every grand idea, there will be a field to plow, some filled with thorns and bristles but if you go deep enough and not give up, you will find rubies. If you “think” you can do it, then you can!
