GRACE

                              GRACE

Grace, is an invisible substance, yet every time a humble heart accepts this gift, a lighthouse shines around the world. We are given hope. The Holy Spirit whispers his love, expressing forgiveness and says to us: “Receive this amnesty and I will never leave you, for I am discharging you from the things of the world and repositioning you into my glorious light!”  Can you feel the joy in your heart this morning? Grace is a Holy gift given to us by God for those who do not deserve to be pardoned and that means all of us. If all of our sins were piled upon a platter that reached into the heavens and we were not pardoned, think about the wages of our sins: bondage, imprisonment, death and total separation from God.

A theologian once said:  Grace means God moving heaven and earth to save sinners who could not lift a finger to save themselves.

He was talking about me.

Again, God’s grace could be described as a mercy bridge trimmed in gold and offered to humbled hearts. Why humble hearts? Because God always resists the proud hearts. [Ja. 4:6]  We are given a new life, a second chance with a new set of eyes, ears and hearts.  Humbly, we admit we have sinned and realize we are unable to rescue ourselves.  God’s sacrifice of His son on the cross, literally loosened His grace upon us, because Jesus took our place.

“From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” 1:16, 17

Believers go from grace to grace.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God - not by works so that no one can boast.”
Ep.2:8,9

We cannot earn our way into God’s presence by works, nor can grace be purchased.

“(God) hath made him [Jesus]  to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him’" (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your gift of grace. Thank you for rescuing us. Thank you for your Son and your Holy Spirit. We give you praise and honor. We thank you for never giving up on us or leaving us. We thank you for your word and digging deep inside of us. Thank you for your never ending healing of forgiveness, grace, mercy, faithfulness, kindness and your love. We realize it was through your gift that changed our souls. Our souls will rise up and bless you!  Blessed be your name. Thank you Father and we pray in Jesus name, amen.
