Since God reads our thoughts, where can we place our hope?

Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird of the air may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say.” Ecclesiastes 11:7 niv

Our thoughts matter. God uses all things, in how He chooses.

There is a unique privilege to hear the first bird warble early in the mornings. I envision him fluffing up his feathers and stretching his wings, after a long nights snooze. He will puff up and his whole body trembles and shakes when he sings. He serenades joyfully. The wind broadcasts his song throughout the trees sailing into mens souls, dreams and prayers. Dawn beckons and I peek into the rapture of a colorful paradise. Smiling, I have peace.

The Holy Spirit’s eyes search the whole earth looking for hearts that are faithful in Christ.  From morning to evening our breath belongs to Him. His word deepens our trust and we become saturated with joy, through the goodness of God’s love and truth. Could the bird be rejoicing, “You are loved! You are forgiven! You are set free in Christ!”

All the flatteries and promises in the world cannot bring one ounce of hope or peace that comes from knowing Jesus Christ. The sweet song of a bluebird will not touch you, unless your ears are opened to hear. And, when you see loads of vegetables come up within your compost pile that you have not planted, where do you suppose that came from? Not by accident, but only by the nod of the Holy Spirit. When you see a believer in Christ give their life in this age of sorrows for their faith; ask yourself, where do I place my hope? In my bank account? Wealth can take to the sky like the bird. Where is my heart? Can you depend upon it forever?

Hope seen, cannot be hope. Accepting the hope of Christ will transform your heart into a diamond like faith. Real diamonds are strong and used to cut glass.  When I am under pressure, what can I do? Ask, “What am I doing to myself?”  Where can I turn for hope? All people pass. The truth is, Jesus Christ lives forever and was crucified upon the, cross for you and I. He arose in three days and was seen by over 500 people as he taught them. His Holy Spirit is drawn to a humble sorrowful heart, one who will admit they have sinned. We all have sinned. Every Christian on earth has walked through this door of grace by faith. If you have read this, please do not hesitate any longer, for tomorrow could be too late.

Pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

I do not understand it all, but I know that everything you do is for our good. I believe the Bible is your word and you can work in anyway that pleases you. I know I have sinned and I understand that Jesus Christ went to the cross, shed his blood and was a perfect pure sacrifice so I can have forgiveness of my sins. I repent Lord. Please forgive my sins [name them]_________________________. I need you Lord. Take them away Father. Make me a new creature in Christ and take all the old things from my life. Give me new eyes to see and open up my ears to hear your voice. Give me a new heart of flesh instead of stone. Awaken my spirit with your Holy Spirit and help me follow through with my repentance. Send me to good godly people who will help me grow in you. Hold me up Father, be my strength.  I know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. What he did and said yesterday he does so today and will do tomorrow. His promises do not change. Thank you Lord. I believe.

If you have prayed this prayer of faith, you have been born-again. Welcome into the Body of Christ. If you do not have a Bible, be sure and buy one as soon as possible, as the words will give you instructions to follow throughout your life. Find a good Bible believing Church to make new friends [you will lose your old friends] and become involved in a study group so you can grow in Christ. They will love you and help you develop a life of prayer and study. Learn to be bold and speak up and proclaim your faith in Christ at every opportunity and begin to talk about the things he is doing in your life. God bless you.

Small simple prayer from the heart

Precious Holy Father,

We bow before you and put you first place in our life. Everything we do today, we want to do as unto you and glorify you in our thoughts, our minds and our actions. Be our strength as we pick up things, garden, cook, go to work and do the manually productive things we must do. Be our hands as we work. Be in our minds to think good thoughts of everything, not making excuses for sin; but we do have the confidence that you O Father are in complete control of all things. Give us the solutions we need to respond towards those that offend us in your way, not our way.  You are Sovereign and we put all of our trust and faith in you. Be in our hearts to hang onto your word and remember everything we study. Help us to give what we have learned to those in need. Help us to be sensitive to those who do not yet know you and use us to be that vessel to be the bridge for them to come to your Son. Give us your words Lord. We thank you Father for this privilege of being able to pray, being able to see, hear, walk, run, communicate and most of all to learn how to love each other. In your Son we ask and pray. Amen.

Count the Cost

I love this because this Warrior has scars from her battles.
She fights for what is good, defends the name of Jesus Christ
and because of this she is hated by the world.
There is a definite cost for following Christ,
because there is no half-way to serve the Father.

Mark of the Beast 666

It seems like a story pulled right out of science fiction – the union between man and machine. However, science fiction is now becoming science fact as more and more humans are choosing to be merged with technology.
Now billionaire, inventor, and envelope-pusher Elon Musk wants to embed microchips into human brains.
Musk has warned that he sees Artificial Intelligence putting the human race at risk, so his plan to chip human brains seems to be an attempt to keep humans relevant. He said Tuesday night he envisions "some sort of symbiosis with artificial intelligence".

UK Firms Ready to Microchip Employees: Forced Surrender of Privacy for Security?
"With a high-bandwidth brain interface, I think we can have the option of merging with AI," Musk said, according to NBC News.
What Musk is talking about is more broadly called biohacking, or even DIY biology. Right now, it's an extremely general term that can cover a wide range of activities from tracking your own sleep and diet to changing your own biology by pumping a younger person's blood into your veins in the hope that it'll fight aging, according to Vox.com.
Biohackers often talk about "optimizing" and "upgrading" their minds and bodies. To do this, some use old-fashioned ways like meditation or fasting. Some use anti-aging supplements, while other biohackers callled grinders implant computer chips in their bodies.
For example, in Sweden, thousands of people are having microchips implanted under their skin in order to conduct transactions without credit cards or cash.
The New York Post reports such technology is catching on with some Europeans and the scientists who have developed it are hoping to take it global.

The implanted chips are about the size of a grain of rice. In addition to financial transactions, these chipped Swedes can also monitor their health and open doors with the swipe of a hand.
The microchips were pioneered by Jowan Ă–sterlund, who calls the technology a "moonshot" — and who told Fortune Magazine that he's been hit up by hopeful investors "on every continent except Antarctica."
"Tech will move into the body," the Biohax International founder told the magazine. "I am sure of that."
Biohax has posted a video of the microchip in action.

Ben Libberton, a Swedish scientist, praised the potential health benefits the new technology might provide but also warned about the potential problems with the resulting mass of highly personalized data and how it could be used.
"The problem is, who owns this data?" he asked The Post. "Do I get a letter from my insurance company saying premiums are going up before I know I'm ill? If I use the chip to buy lunch, go to the gym and go to work, will someone have all of this info about me? Is this stored and is it safe?"
"People have shown they're happy to give up privacy for convenience," he continued. "The chip is very convenient, so could we accept our data being shared very widely before we know the risks?"
Biohackers say their critics are uninformed. They point out that because biochips are inert and passive they pose fewer privacy risks than smartphones, which continually transmit our whereabouts. Such logic hasn't stopped a drumbeat of scary stories about biochips ushering in an Orwellian system of control, according to Fortune
"Look at The Matrix or Blade Runner or Johnny Mnemonic. The implant is always connected to something really creepy or bad," Ă–sterlund told the magazine.
As Fortune points out, this industry does have a long way to go to become a real business. Right now, the only places that implant microchips in Sweden are tattoo parlors. Medical professionals, including doctors and hospitals, are not on board with the procedure to implant the chips.
Human Brain Augmented By Technology
What about implanting microchip technology inside a human brain? Even though it sounds a bit like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, notable entrepreneurs like Elon Musk are trying to link brains and even thoughts to software using a chip implant. As Forbes.com reports several hundred thousand people in the world already have plantable technology in their brains but that by the year 2029 this number is expected to triple due to a move from merely academic to general usage.
Highlighted in the documentary film I Am Human, the first use of the technology is expected to offer relief for various individuals with Parkinson's Disease, paralysis, blindness and more. The next step would be more general usage, applying the technology to anyone who wanted it.
If such brain implant technology becomes more feasible, data privacy takes on an entirely new meaning when brain-hacking on a new and exponential level could be just around the corner, according to the website occurred., or enable JavaScript if it is disabled in your browser.Try watching this video on www.youtube.com Meanwhile, some Christians say microchip implants are a clear fulfillment of the "mark of the Beast" prophesied 2,000 years ago in the biblical book of Revelation.
"It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name."-- Revelation 13: 16-17 New International Version (NIV)

Long-Suffering

I readily admit, I do not like to think about long-suffering or persecution. I like to sing and dance with my tambourine joyously in the Lord. I like to meditate upon His word about His goodness and love and I thrive upon God’s peace.

Lately, I cannot seem to get away from the fruit of long-suffering:

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way; for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my names sake.” Acts 9:15, 16

Jesus Christ spoke to Saul on his way to Damascus when he was struck and blinded by lightning: “Saul, Saul why are you persecuting me?”  Saul a scholarly Jew and a son of a Pharisee was recognized as a man who went to great lengths, giving orders to kill all who were christians. He was blinded in order to see the truth of salvation in Christ and would soon be an example to the Body of Christ of one who would go through great sufferings in his faith. Renamed to Paul, he was healed of his blindness and went through continual near-death persecutions and long-sufferings that yielded an intimate walk with the Holy Spirit that gave him revelations and enriched his bold faith.

Paul wrote 14 New Testament books if we count Hebrews and there were times he wrote in prison and felt his death was near in 2Timothy.  Today, the Bible is still the best seller in America. Think of all the billions of hearts his writings have touched!

Does God deliberately choose some to live a life of continued persecution and long suffering so they too can achieve the strength Paul experienced through the Holy Spirit and be an inspiration to others? Paul was a prime example. I personally believe so.

Today the middle eastern christians are crucified, heads and limbs decapitated, buried alive, drowned and burned at the stake for their confession in Christ. Even children. They know, when they confess Jesus as their Savior they could be tortured for their faith.

Here in the west, I think of Joni Eareckson Tada who dived in her pool at the age of 17 and hit the spine in her neck and became permanently paralyzed, in a wheelchair all of her life. Presently she is 69. She’s been in her chair for 52 years. She draws, paints and writes with her mouth, has a 15 minute radio broadcast, has a ministry for the disabled and makes appearances on Christian programs.  She also became an inspiration in The Billy Graham Crusades.   Recently I listened to her on tv and it is understandable she still fights depression and anger. She believes in a Sovereign God,  the Bible and in divine healing. Frustrated, she related how she still does not understand why God heals some, but not others. Who of us could understand?  My heart has always gone out to Joni. Recently she has undergone radiation treatments for a returning cancer and now celebrates a cancer free body.  Remember to pray for her.

Just remember, the next time you think no one could ever understand what you are going through; just try us. You’d be surprised what some have gone through, when they will tell you, “I understand.”

Let’s pray:

Heavenly Father,

We are glad you chose faith for us and your grace that holds us up. We do not understand it all, but we trust in you and your ways completely. Forgive us our whining, fretting, mumbling and grumbling. Forgive our unwarranted frustrations. Forgive our impatience. Forgive us our disobedience, any unthankfulness, lack of gratitude and anything we take for granted. We put off any vain or high-mindedness, we cast it all down and replace them with putting others above ourselves. We put on humble hearts and do things your way, not our own way and we choose to listen closely when you speak.

We ask that you would send your warring angels to guard your people who love you in the east. Place them in your hiding place and keep them safe. Continue to give them your hope and increase their deep faith, as they pray. We thank you for these rich saints Father.

We lift up Joni to you and ask that you would send your messengers to encourage and lift up her heart and counsel her with your supernatural peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith in the way she needs, one that would strengthen her physical body. We want to see her walk Father. O Father, we ask for mercy and have your Holy Spirit blow upon those deadened areas in her body and bring them back to life. You said if we ask anything believing that it is done, that we already have it. Move her toe Lord. Move her toe!  In Jesus we ask, amen.

Small prayer for our nation. Please pray with me.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2Chronicles 7:14

Precious Holy Father,

Our nation is completely useless without you. By your Spirit our eyes are open. We can see what happens when we ignore your warning signs. We can see what happens when we allow comfort and complacency to take hold in our lives. Forgive us for taking our freedoms for granted. “You said, where the Spirit of the Lord is; there is Liberty.” We cherish Your Holy Spirit, Father. This nation was founded upon You and your principles in the Bible. We plead, keep your Lamp filled with oil inside of our nation. Sift all hearts that are not sincere in their love for you. Forgive our slothfulness, our ignorance. Forgive us for overlooking the lies in high places. Forgive those who are not holding others accountable for their evil actions. Help them fear you, instead of man. We ask for generous financial donations and favor from your Holy Spirit be with those who have been working to put all your enemies under your feet and be reproduced by other godly men and woman in this land. Raise them up Lord.   Forgive your people for accepting secular wisdom over what your word says in this nation. Forgive our unjust wars that have sacrificed so many of our sons and daughters. Turn us from all of our idolatries. Forgive how we have allowed evil to gain a foothold on your nation. Forgive us how we have allowed evil to teach our children. Forgive us how we have allowed the killing of millions of babies who are a gift from you, to be sacrificed to the god of molech. We know we do not deserve forgiveness. Forgive our nation for assisting suicide from the young to the elderly. Remove this stench. Forgive us for our lack of humility and prayers for your nation. Forgive your people for their lack of love and faith towards you and others. Forgive us for our selfish desires. Forgive hearts that move without your truth, but in lazy assumptions. Forgive us for not giving ourselves and the things you’ve given to us. Forgive us for not using what you have given to us. We repent and pinpoint our priorities to you first and then to others who need help. Help us to boldly direct our energies to be productive in every way we think and in every way we set our hand, for your glory and our good.

We thank you for your never ending mercies. You never leave us. For always hearing our prayers. For blessing us inspite of ourselves. For Your Holy Spirit who teaches us all things, guides and directs us every morning. By faith, we confidently put all of our trust in you O Father. We know you work for us, not against us.  Our soul belongs to you and none other, Father.   We ask and declare  in your Son Jesus, amen.

We stumble in darkness because we cannot see

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  Psalm 119:105

There was a time when darkness was a way of life for me along with my like minded friends. My thoughts were, “As long as we were not hurting others” what did it matter? This was during the sixties, “the flower children” rampant with drugs, alcohol and free-love. If we had a brain, we did not use it.  People stumble in dark places because there is no light.  We were blinded by the darkness, even in the sunshine. Without a thought of the consequences, the forces of darkness hands us a can of worms, when we choose the dark side of life. We walk into a prison behind invisible bars called bondage.

We become a slave to sin.

More the norm than not, are the crushed, abused, bruised and ones nearly destroyed by the blind selfishness of adversity. Some of us did not come from a good family, easy beginnings or good opportunities. Take note, those without Christ, learn to survive with a toughened exterior and a hardened heart. One by one, the bricks are layered into a wall of protection. Never again, to allow our guard down. Never to trust. Never to love again. A wounded soul says:  “I will never let anyone hurt me again.”  Then, our bitterness continues to choke us into that inky pool of darkness. We did not realize we were destroying ourselves.

In my twenties, after successfully messing up my life, I held my new baby in my arms as I began to read the Bible. I discovered there were people in the Bible just like me, that Jesus loved and forgave. You see, I used to look at church people as if they were squeaky clean and never sinned. I had a background from a particular denomination that I felt I could never go back to, because, I was a “scarlet woman with the scarlet sin;” the one who became divorced. I was damaged goods. Who would want me?  As a result, I felt I had to clean up myself first, in order to go to church; in order to be liked and accepted. And, in some circles that can be true.  The truth is, believers in Christ are those who were once thieves, idolaters, pagans, adulterers, fornicators, liars, gossipers, ex-cons, homosexuals and even hypocrites. All sinners. Better known in the Bible as children of wrath. But I did not know that at the time. In fact, I learned later the Bible says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23  It doesn’t matter how good a person is, without Jesus; it is as nothing.

Our Creator knows exactly what it takes for us to humble ourselves and admit we need help. A secular Psychologist will ask his patient after listening to his problem, “Well, what do you want to do about it?” You are paying for his help, but he cannot give it to you. Secularism cannot offer godly solutions, because they do not have it inside of them to give. Instead, they attempt to alter your guilty conscience with a band-aid of desensitizing words that will dull your mind and assure you, “You aren’t as bad as what you thought.” Some believe, there is no such thing as sin. How wrong they are! Sin exposes itself by the wages it gives.

Where then, does a person go for help;  but to God?

Humbled, I began to read what Jesus said in the Bible. I began to feel great love but fear too.  Yes, there is a heaven and a hell; and I was headed for hell.  I learned, I was powerless to clean up myself. I desperately needed God’s help. Since Jesus rescued the woman who was being stoned for being caught in adultery, surely He would love me. If he took the time to talk to the Samaritan women at Jacob’s well about her five husbands and that the one she was living with at the time was not her husband, and that if she were to drink of the water He has to give, she would never thirst again; surely, He would give this water to me too. Then, I read about the woman who had an Alabaster jar in her hand. The Pharisees described her as sinful. She boldly walked into a Pharisee’s home, because she knew Jesus was there, she bent down and immediately began washing, kissing his feet and his head with her uncontrollable tears and drying them with her hair. Then, anointed him with her expensive oil. How she loved him!  No doubt, she knew he was the prophesied Messiah. What did Jesus say about her to the Pharisees?

He said, “Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much; but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.” Luke 7:47 Further,  “Thy sins are forgiven. Thy faith has saved thee, go in peace.” vs 48, 50.

All three of the women were seeking love and forgiveness. All three had messed up their lives, they were humble and thankful. They reached out to The Son of God and Jesus forgave all their sins. Jesus loves the humble.

My eyes were opened and I was released! I was set free as I read God’s word. I humbly asked Jesus to forgive all my sins and come into my heart and clean me and my life up. I was born-again.

Whatever your circumstances, whatever your problems and struggles, nothing is too big or too small for our Father God.  You can be pulled out of that deep well where only your echos are heard and brought into God’s glorious light.
I was there!
I know what I am saying.

Our tomorrows are unsure. We assume, we’ll make it to work, we assume we’ll be able to make those payments, pay the electric bill, feed our family, we assume our health will hold up; but we do not know what a day will bring. Jesus took our place on the cross and was sent by His Father to be a sacrifice for our sins.

If you are feeling a tug in your heart and know you need to change, today can be the best day of your life. A new beginning in Christ. Right now, turn around and take your first step in His direction and he will take you the rest of the way.  Please,  pray with me:

Heavenly Father,

I know I am a sinner and I believe that your Son Jesus shed his blood for me for the forgiveness of my sins. I ask that you would forgive my sins of, [name them]_________________. Take them away Lord.
I am so sorry. I ask that Jesus would come into my life and clean me up. Guide me and direct me in your will. I repent of all those things I did and ask that your Holy Spirit would be my strength to follow through on this prayer. Send good godly people my way to help me with my walk. Direct me to the church of your choice, one that uses your Bible to teach their people. Give me the understanding I need to grow. Help me to love you above everything inside of me first and my neighbors as myself. Fill me completely with your Holy Spirit and teach me to recognize your voice when you speak. Thank you Father. In your son Jesus I ask, amen.

If you have sincerely humbled yourself and prayed, I want to congratulate you and welcome you into the family of the Body of Christ. You have been born-again of the Spirit of God.  Chances are, there is someone you know who has been talking to you about attending their church. Why not, go with them and see what happens? Tell them about the prayer you prayed. Buy a good Bible. Now, you must grow in Christ and become linked with other believers so you can be strong in your walk.

May God bless you and keep you, in all of your future endeavors.

Prayer for unstoppable love

Precious Father,

Our hearts desire is to return some of the love that you have given to us. Embrace us with your smile, Father. We believe your word, when you say that your eyes go around the earth to strengthen the hearts of those who are fully committed to you. Strengthen our hearts Father, show us ways to love you and each other and prepare our hearts to receive your words.

We ask that you would continue to remove any old seeds of selfishness, pride, any clinging self-righteous haughtiness or attitudes. Thank you for removing all fears of rejection, persecutions, sufferings, regrets, memories and doubts.

Through your son’s sacrifice, we have put off the old man and put on the new man. We have overcome evil with good by resisting the enemy, our faith, replacing evil with the goodness of giving and thankfulness. Thank you for conforming us to the image of your son. You O Lord have turned all our dark beginnings into your light. You lifted us up by your love and beckoned us to “come.” This was your plan.  You created each heart with such detail, we are gloriously unique in your hand. There is no other God, but You O Lord.

You are for us, not against us. You defend us. You hear our prayers and answer.  We put all of our trust in you O Father. Thank you for your Son interceding for us. Through Jesus we have become more than Conquerors because of His great love. Nothing can separate His love for us. Not death or life, angels nor demons, nothing present or future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Precious Holy Spirit, We take all limits off and ask that our souls be an unstoppable force of love and faith that is quickened, guided and directed by your Holy Spirit in every way. Thank you Lord. In your son we ask. Amen.
